One can have no smaller or greater mastery than mastery of oneself
Leonardo da Vinci
One can find no better time to master oneself than between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Yan ang sabi ni Robin Sharma sa kanyang librong “The 5AM Club”. Tinawag niya itong “Victory Hour” dahil ito ang oras ng walang masyadong distraction and time of greatest insight. Ang solitude, stillness, and silence sa pagitan ng 5:00 AM at 6:00 AM ay nagbibigay-daan sa iyo to do deep inner work and attain clarity, confidence, and calm for the remainder of the day.
Ito ang kanyang 60-minute morning formula to accelerate personal development – the 20/20/20 formula:
5:00 AM to 5:20 AM ‐ Sweat
When you sweat for 20 minutes in your bedroom, you open your internal pharmacy and flood your brain with a powerful smart drug. Always remember, Sweating makes you smart!
Ensure you sweat from 5:00 AM to 5:20 AM by:
- Going to sleep with your workout clothes on and workout shoes next to your bed.
- Have a workout playlist ready to go and your exercise planned.
- When the clock strikes 5:00 AM, roll out of bed and start exercising.
5:20 AM to 5:40 AM ‐ Reflect
Kapag hindi ka nag-reflect sa umaga, you will drift through your day like a boat lost at sea. With 20 minutes of daily reflection, you take control of your day. In effect, you can put a motor on your boat and propel yourself kung saan mo gusto mapunta.
Reflect by writing the following questions in your notebook:
- “What is great in my life?” Be grateful sa mga blessings mo.
- “What am I great at?” Alamin ang mga strengths mo and how you can provide value to others.
- “What do I want to be great at?” Create an inspiring vision that will propel you forward.
- “What would make today great?” Make adjustments and steer yourself towards the people and projects you want to spend time on today.
5:40 AM to 6:00 AM ‐ Grow
In the last 20 minutes of your “Victory Hour,” you grow into the person you aspire to be by studying people who inspire you. Get in their head and understand how they think, as well as understand what they do or don’t do to be effective.
Dapat sa growth session mo, meron kang isang new mindset or behavior na ma-apply mo sa araw na iyon.
The 9:30 PM Plan
Kung nagising ka ng 5:00 AM and na-execute mo ang 20/20/20 formula, you will have incredible momentum and energy. Pero, this energy will quickly wear off kung hindi mo ma-execute ang malupit na 9:30PM Plan.
Kelangan mo ng 5 sleep cycles every night para makapag-perform ka at your best. The average sleep cycle is 90 minutes. Therefore, if you fall asleep at 9:30 PM, you will complete your fifth sleep cycle by 5:00 AM and wake up fully refreshed.
Kung lagi kang napupuyat sa gabi and you find it hard to go to sleep at 9:30 PM, simply force yourself to get up at 5:00 AM and you will crave sleep at 9:30 PM. Increase your chances of falling asleep at 9:30 PM by turning off your devices and screens at 8:00 PM and doing a wind down activity like reading, walking outside, or meditating before going to bed.
To have the results The Top 5% of producers have, you must start doing what 95% of people are unwilling to do.
