Why is it that so many well educated and talented Filipino degree holders are unable to make a decent living for themselves?
Let us face it! The school system at sistemang pang-edukasyon sa kabuuan ay designed to mold you into a working slave, also known as EMPLOYEE dahil kailangan ka ng mayayaman bilang leverage para magtrabaho para sa kanila.
1. HINDI SILA NAG-IISIP NA HIGIT SA KANILANG CERTIFICATES
Sinabi ni Albert Einstein, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” Have you ever heard the creativity term “Think outside the box”?
May doctors na may superb web and graphic design skills. Meron ding mga lawyers who are very cunning about the finances. The list goes on without end!
Ang iyong certificate ay isang patunay lamang na ikaw ay natuturuan or teachable, it does not suggest what you are capable of doing. Puno ka ng mga posibilidad when you think beyond your degrees and certificates.
2. PRIORITY NILA ANG CERTIFICATES NILA MORE THAN THEIR GIFTS AND TALENTS
Madalas kong pinapayuhan ang ilan sa aking mga kasamahan, never to leave their gifts dormant habang naghahanap ng trabaho with their certificates. Dapat mayroong isang complementary balance in the pursuit of your passion and in the search for jobs.
The very best way to develop yourself is in the direction of your natural talents and interest.
3. HINAHANDA SILA NG KANILANG CERTIFICATES FOR A WORLD THAT NO LONGER EXIST
Napag-alaman na most of the skills taught in schools are becoming obsolete in the present world. Mahalagang malaman na ang present form of university education does not prepare students for the future.
Ang mga graduates ay nagiging endangered species in the face of a changing world.
Few years ago, there was a conference organized by the British Council in Dubai. The theme was, “Education Fit For the Future: Planning For a Changing World”
4. KAKAUNTI ANG ALAM NILA SA SARILI NILA
Certificates at degrees don’t reveal people to themselves, nasusukat lang nila ang ating IQ o Intelligent Quotient.
5. WALA NA SILANG INITIATIVE DAHIL SA CERTIFICATES AND DEGREES
Degrees and certificates can close up your minds to ideas, while initiatives open it up.
6. NAGHAHANAP SILA NG TRABAHO GAMIT ANG DEGREES AND CERTIFICATES, SA HALIP NA OPPORTUNITES
Our certificates and degrees prepare Pinoy graduates to look for jobs and not open our eyes to life-changing opportunities.
What keeps Filipino professionals ahead in life is not their education or degrees, it is simply the opportunity that they seized.
7. PINOYS LOOK FOR SECURITY AND NOT TO TAKE RISKS
We must be willing to make mistakes and take breakthrough risks.
Future jobs would involve knowledge creation and innovation, and Filipinos that are only equipped with skills found in the classroom would be a misfit in an ever-changing world.
Take a leadership position. Start a business and fail, that is, a better entrepreneurship. Attend a seminar, read books outside the scope of your course.
