A lot of people think that Filipino Engineers are rich.
As a matter of fact, a lot of engineers are poor.
In case you didn’t know, many engineers in the Philippines don’t make a lot of money.
Those engineers who make a lot of money are the ones with businesses and ties to engineering firms and contractors.
But the rest, they get paid by the hour and per project they accomplish.
Now, why do I say a lot of engineers are poor?
A person can be highly educated, professionally successful, and financially illiterate.”
Robert Kiyosaki said
That’s exactly why many engineers are poor.
Many engineers are financially illiterate.
Why?
Because they were never taught financial literacy in engineering school.
If these engineers don’t work for a whole year, they don’t get paid.
If they don’t have projects, they don’t get paid.
Engineers have what is called “Active Income”.
They exchange time for money.
The same thing goes if you’re a Doctor, Accountant, Dentist, IT and so on…
If you’re dependent on your job, then you’re broke or will be broke eventually.
Why am I telling you this?
I don’t know what your background is.
I don’t know if you’re a college graduate, a professional, or with a post-graduate degree.
But if you’re employed and you know that you can’t survive if you lose your job, then you are broke just like many other professionals.
Sooner or later, you will realize that you are running out of time.
You can’t keep trading your time for money.
Before it’s too late, start a second income.
