The two biggest fears I’ve noticed amongst a lot of Filipinos when it comes to creating massive change in their lives is the following:
- “What if I fail?”
- “I literally have no idea where to start.”
For the first fear, I’d like to retort with another question.
“What if everything stays the same?”
Paano kung patuloy kang nagtatrabaho sa parehong trabaho na hindi nagdudulot sa iyo ng kagalakan, nagdadala ng same paycheck that barely covers your bills, with the same sense of dread in the back of your mind, knowing you didn’t even try?
Those with the courage to act NOW (even with uncertainty and fear in their minds) will be rewarded with the spoils of victory.
Those who “will do it later” or “need to be sure”… well, I hope the harsh sting of regret doesn’t hit you too hard.
Let me ask you another question..
Anong magandang bagay ang susubukan mo kung alam mong hindi ka mabibigo?
You see.. most Pinoys are too fearful of failure, the unknown, or others’ reactions to chase their dream.
But… what if fear didn’t exist?
Paano kung hindi ka nabibigatan by self-doubt, anxiety and worry? What would you be left with?
Well, in my opinion, you’d be left with..
Clarity. Focus. Determination.
Magkakaroon ka ng clear, optimistic mind, na hindi nababahala sa stress, doubt and failure…
Instead, you’d be pushing forward, getting passed setbacks and shortcomings, and becoming hyper-focused when accomplishing your goals.
It’s time we stop living in fear so we can venture out to really see what is on the other side of our comfort zone.
Because at the end of the day, there really is no such thing as ‘failure’.
You cannot fail, you can only produce results.
And in the process of doing so, you’ll learn all the many ways something didn’t work until you’ll find a way that will.
For the second fear…
